It's been a couple weeks since I posted, but I wanted to get back at it, as I hope to blog here at least a couple times a week and let you all know how it's going.
For the past 6 weeks I was going through I bit of a health scare and that became all I could think/worry about. Finally found out yesterday that I am fine, and even if the scale doesn't show it, I feel like I lost a 100lbs!
I've had to make some tough decisions these past couple weeks about some other things too. One, I am not going to be seeing my nutritionist anymore, or at least not for a few months. Financially, it's just not doable at this time. The basement repairs this past summer really set us back, and we have a lot left to do and any extra money needs to be set aside for that at the moment. I'm really quite bummed about it, but I know it has to be done. She has taught me what I need to know, and I know that it's really up to me now, but I will miss her and our chats. She invited me to come in anyway and hop on the scale once in a while, and I will definitely be taking her up on that offer!
Speaking of scales, I bought myself a new one last night since I won't be seeing Susan regularly and weighing in. I had an old one, but I've had it a long, long time, and I couldn't see the little lines anymore, between the 5lbs increments. So, I bought myself a new digital one, like the picture posted. I adjusted my weight again to show what the new scale says and once again, I am making Friday weigh-in day.
I've read a couple amazing books I wanted to share with you,
"The Amazing Adventures of Diet Girl" and
"Confessions of a Carb Queen". I can't tell you how inspirational these true weight-loss stories are. At first I didn't think I would have something in common with someone who was so overweight, boy, was I wrong. I had so much in common with these ladies their books brought tears to my eyes more then once. I highly recommend these books.
Ok, that's enough for now, off to start my day, just wanted to let you know I'm back. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog, I appreciate it more then you know.
